First of all what type of steak do you have?

There are four main types of steak:

• Tenderloin or Filet mignon, Châteaubriand, fillet, filet. …
• New York Strip or Strip, Manhattan, Kansas City strip, top sirloin, top loin, contre-filet. …
• T-Bone or Porterhouse. …
• Ribeye or Entrecôte, Delmonico, Scotch fillet, Spencer, market, beauty….

Once you know type of steak, then you can understand how to marinate, prepare and cook the steak.
