The 2-Day Diet: Diet Two Days a Week – Eat Normally for Five What is in the book?

As you need to diet for only 2 days with loads of excellent food that can be eaten on diet days, I don’t know how the diet is able to produce the results that it has!

So the slimming this time is achieved by eating risottos, stews and even pudding! Wow!

You will not need to count calories – which would have to be worked out very carefully as not all calorie calculations provide useful information.

Best thing you don’t go hungry.

The research originally studied over 1,000 women and the effects of the 2 day diet were stunning.

Started by Dr Michael Mosley with his Horizon TV program giving us the revolutionary diet – The Fast Diet* has a new cookbook with Mimi Spencer, Dr Sarah Schenker – The Fast Diet Recipe Book: 150 Delicious, Calorie-controlled Meals to Make Your Fasting Days Easy (click to read reviews).

Mimi Spencer and nutritionist Dr Sarah Schenker has some wonderful with recipes to help us with the diet. There are two pages of recipes free in Mail on Sunday 28 April 2013.

On our 2 diet days we would like keep feeling full, not an easy task. The recipe book includes ideas on foods that make us feel fuller, longer- helping us to get through the fasting days.

Dr Mosley in 2012 was slightly overweight and perhaps pre disposed to have diabetes. He decided to search for a solution – a diet – that would help remove this unhealthy trend in his lifestyle. Was it possible to address these serious health issues with changes to diet?

He is a medical journalist and so was able to speak with and interview those scientists and nutrition experts that led to studying the latest research. He put his conclusions to the test on himself in a Horizon program that tried out the theory on fasting. This was our introduction to the concept and benefits of intermittent fasting.
