Food & Drink new BBC2 TV series 8.00 Monday 4 Feb 2013 with Michel Roux Jr and Kate Goodman (watch again – see link below)

The Food and Drink series returns, remember Jenny Goulding who with Chris Kelly, Michael Barry and her good friend Oz Clarke presented the series for 18 years?

Our new hosts are the Master chef presenter and Michelin-starred chef – Michel Roux Jr and Kate Goodman.

1/6. Michel Roux Jr hosts the revival of the show featuring recipes, tips and discussions on the latest food trends. In the opening edition, he and resident drinks expert Kate Goodman are joined by guest chef Tom Kerridge to create the perfect roast. Restaurateur Oliver Peyton explains why he thinks that British produce needs to be celebrated much more than it is and author and broadcaster Stefan Gates tries to convince people to eat grubs.

The production is excellent and in Series One Episode One Michel Roux Jr cooks bread and investigates wheat. The artisan loaf.

The Hairy Bikers cook the humble cauliflower. The UKs national vegetable.
